The challenge
Many women suffer from iron deficiency and cannot avoid taking iron supplements.
However, anyone who takes conventional iron supplements will quickly find that the body neither tolerates them well nor absorbs them. The iron oxidizes, cannot be absorbed and then causes damage to the intestines. The result: cramps, diarrhea and black stools - and an iron level that often only rises with high doses. No wonder that many women shy away from taking them or even stop taking them altogether.
Be3 Iron Form
Be3 combines the highest bioavailability with maximum tolerability . This effect is made possible by the combination of iron bisglycinate, lactoferrin and natural vitamin C. Together they ensure that your cells can absorb the essential iron gently and effectively and that your body can gently replenish its iron stores.
Our vegetarian formulation combines three modes of action: Iron bisglycinate is already present as an organically bound chelate form in a complex with the amino acid glycine, which means that it is better absorbed on its own and causes fewer problems . Natural vitamin C from rose hips acts as an antioxidant and also prevents the iron from oxidizing.
The real star, however, is lactoferrin : the milk protein is related to the human iron transporter protein transferrin and also occurs naturally in the body. It plays a role in the immune system and in the defense against pathogens. Above all, however, it binds iron and transports it from the intestine into the cells, thus ensuring that iron absorption is up to 50% more effective and, above all, gentler . Undesirable side effects of conventional iron products, such as nausea, etc., can thus be avoided.
The new Ehrlich
The market is flooded with products that claim to be scientifically based and premium - bullshit. They are often enriched with cheap raw materials, incorrect dosage or nonsensical multi-ingredient mixtures - "fairground mixtures" as we call them. The aim is to offer as many trendy raw materials as possible in low dosages, usually without any benefit. Enough of that - it's about our health!
Our approach: At the start of product development, a team of scientific staff examines all relevant studies, including raw materials, dosages, dosage form and co-factors. Branded raw materials are analyzed for additives and manufacturing methods. Our interdisciplinary team of doctors, alternative practitioners, nutritionists and product developers then discusses the results and determines the next steps.
The difference: products with scientifically based recipes and real benefits. We only use the highest quality raw materials in study-based dosages and without unnecessary additives .

Lactoferrin & Iron – A gentle duo
Iron is a vital mineral that plays a central role in blood formation and oxygen transport . Women often have a higher need for iron, especially during menstruation or pregnancy. When supplementing iron , lactoferrin acts as a gentle transporter and thus optimizes iron utilization in the body. The valuable protein helps to use iron more efficiently and thus contributes to a better supply.
Our lactoferrin is isolated particularly efficiently from cow's milk using ion exchange and ultrafiltration, which results in an excellent purity of > 95% lactoferrin in the end product and 97% lactoferrin in the protein content. The subsequent gentle freeze-drying guarantees the best possible preservation of the protein. The iron saturation of the lactoferrin is in the ideal range at 10-20% .
The biologically active whey protein is obtained from European cow's milk and therefore does not have to be imported from overseas (New Zealand, Australia) as is the case with other products. Our final product is obtained from cow's milk, but thanks to a careful and efficient purification process it is considered lactose-free (< 0.1% lactose). It is therefore also suitable for people with lactose intolerance.
Good to know: Lactoferrin influences iron absorption so effectively that it can combat iron deficiency even without additional iron - just as well as taking an iron salt preparation! But that's not all: Lactoferrin is so well tolerated that it was even recommended as the drug of choice for treating iron deficiency in pregnant women in a meta-analysis of clinical studies (1).
In combination with the particularly well-tolerated chelate form of iron bisglycinate and natural vitamin C from rose hips, iron absorption is further improved, thus minimizing gastrointestinal complaints.
How to take it
Depending on your current iron intake, take 1 to 2 capsules daily with plenty of liquid with or after a meal.
This is what it contains
Rosehip fruit extract, lactoferrin (from cow's milk), capsule shell: cellulose, iron bisglycinate.
Average nutritional value | daily dose (2 capsules) |
---|---|
iron bisglycinate | 20 mg |
Lactoferrin | 150 mg |
Rosehip extract | 314 mg |
of which Vitamin C | 142 mg |
Why not just take iron gluconate or sulfate?
Most common iron products contain these compounds. But they not only have a low bioavailability: because they are not absorbed well in the intestines, they remain in the digestive tract and oxidize there. The result: gastrointestinal problems and black stools - and the recommendation to increase the dose even more! Because what is not absorbed cannot fill the storage - a vicious circle of increasingly severe side effects begins. Iron bisglycinate, lactoferrin and vitamin C prevent exactly this process in three ways.

FAQ - The most frequently asked questions
FemBe Iron Formula is generally better tolerated than other iron supplements. However, people with known allergies or sensitivities to certain ingredients should consult a doctor before use.
An iron deficiency can be noticeable through tiredness, paleness, headaches, dizziness and cold hands and feet. Hair loss and brittle nails can also be signs of a deficiency. If you experience such symptoms, you should see a doctor who can check your iron status with a blood test.
Women are often affected by iron deficiency, especially due to the increased need for iron during menstruation and pregnancy. Monthly menstrual bleeding can lead to significant blood loss, which lowers iron levels. During pregnancy, iron requirements also increase for the formation of the fetus' blood and the placenta. In addition, women tend to follow a vegetarian or vegan diet more often, which can also lead to a higher risk of iron deficiency.
No, at FemBe we focus on the essentials and therefore avoid unnecessary additives. Our products contain only high-quality branded raw materials and are developed taking into account the latest scientific findings.
Iron absorption can be improved by eating iron-rich foods such as meat, legumes and green vegetables, and by combining them with vitamin C from citrus fruits. It is especially important not to take iron supplements with milk or calcium-rich foods, as calcium can reduce the absorption of iron in the body.
Iron deficiency can be caused by insufficient intake of iron-rich foods, increased needs during pregnancy or menstruation, blood loss, impaired iron absorption due to intestinal diseases or chronic diseases, and impaired iron absorption.
Ideally, iron supplements should not be taken at the same time as medication, as interactions may occur. If you are unsure, it is advisable to consult a doctor or pharmacist to determine the best time to take them.
