About a special journey
The idea for “Hima’s Journey” is based on a true story that originated over 20 years ago. The thought of giving a loved one their most beautiful dream is still one of the most valuable gifts for the author Marcus Haag.
Thus began a journey that eventually brought Marcus to Nepal 20 years later. Various seemingly fortunate coincidences led him to the people who helped him find the dream stones of the Himalayas and tell their story.
In Kathmandu, Marcus also met the young Nepalese artist Nilam Burthel , who helped him give little Hima a face. Nilam worked on the drawings for the book for over a year to bring the story of Hima's journey to life.
